Transformers Miniature Game development

So starting off with the resource system. I thought it would be a thematic idea to make energon cubes/energon the games health system but also the games ability resource mechanic. In the cartoons the Transformers relied on a steady flow of energon to keep them running and also seemed to run out the more they fought and used their abilities. Even transforming seemed to drain them. I think this is a good mechanic but may need some tweaking on my stat cards. Thoughts?
