CALL OF DUTY VANGUARD TRAILER
Here we go again. Another November and another Call of Duty game. Unlike years past it appears that Activision is okay forgoing E3 as the big splash day for a new Call of Duty announcement and is now using its Warzone game mode/platform to be there " big hurrah". Not only that but the timing is incredibly poor this year as pretty much all the other triple A games that would compete for your money have already been announced and players have already started allocating their hard earned money.
From a game point of view I am not sure how I feel about this years Call of Duty ( the fact I am referring to the game as " this years" is very disturbing). Sledgehammer Games are going back to the World War 2 well one more time after a somewhat successful entry titles...wait for it...Call of Duty: World War 2. As far as shooters go it looks like 2021 is the year we get more future tech games in the genre like Halo Infinite and Battlefield 2042. Call of Duty will not have a direct competitor in this genre as far as overall theme and aesthetic goes. It is basically gonna come down to just how much more of the World War 2 shooter genre people want to play.
Having played the last WW2 Call of Duty and Battlefield 5 I a myself am ready to move on to the uncharted waters of 2042 when the new Battlefield game releases later this year. Let me know in the comments how you feel about Call of Duty Vanguard.
